This classic allegorical work, often translated as The Labyrinth of the World and the Paradise of the Heart, remains one of Comenius’s most important and enduring texts.
This copy has strong shelf appeal in a likely early rebound or recased half-leather binding with marbled boards and patterned endpapers. It is an attractive antiquarian copy with real age and character, and it carries an old ownership stamp for Dr. Zahradníček, adding a nice personal provenance element. An old lock of hair was found laid into the book and will be included as found.
