Antique 1922 Swedish edition of Manxmannen, Hall Caine’s The Manxman, translated from English by H. Flygare and published by A.-B. Bohlin & Co. Bokförlag, Stockholm. This is Volume I of the Swedish Bohlin edition, printed in Leipzig by Spamersche Buchdruckerei.

This handsome early 20th-century volume is bound in decorative half leather with patterned boards, gilt spine lettering, and top edge gilt. The novel is a classic Isle of Man story by Hall Caine and is also notable as the source material for Alfred Hitchcock’s 1929 silent film The Manxman.
