Description
A scarce 1925 New York edition of King Solomon and His Followers, the classic Allen Publishing Company Masonic cipher and memory-aid manual. This pocket-sized volume was issued for lodge use and is “strictly in accordance with the revised work 1923,” with copyright lineage to C. Gavitt in 1894 and Allen Publishing Company in 1915.
This is an especially interesting fraternal collectible because it retains the original black snap-flap pocket binding and includes the coded ritual text, index, and publisher’s explanatory page describing the series as a lodge instruction title for officers, workers, and members. The cipher format makes it far more distinctive than an ordinary Masonic handbook, and the 1925 date gives it strong early 20th-century appeal.
