Description
Attractive 2-volume Danish-language John Galsworthy set, published by Gyldendal (Copenhagen) in 1932 and custom bound in matching half-leather with marbled boards. These are later printings (as stated in the books), but the craftsmanship and shelf presence are excellent-ideal for a Forsyte collector or anyone who appreciates classic European binding style. Galsworthy won the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1932, making these a nice period pairing with his peak international recognition.
