Description
Striking WWII home-front propaganda airmail cover from Cleveland, OH, Sep 21, 1944, with a bold two-color Kosko cachet: “LISTEN – DON’T BE NAP’IN / LET’S GET JAP’IN / BUY MORE BONDS.” Franked with the 8¢ Transport airmail (Scott C26)-the correct domestic airmail rate at the time-and addressed to Sharpsville, Indiana. The reverse shows a printed Cleveland address and a round multi-society member handstamp, characteristic of an active cachetmaker/servicer. I have not located another example of this exact “Don’t be Nap’in / Let’s Get Jap’in” Kosko design online, so it appears uncommon among Kosko patriotics. (Wartime slogan is presented for historical context.)
