This is an especially appealing copy of an important early history of Ducks Unlimited, distinguished by a substantial handwritten presentation inscription from author S. Kip Farrington, Jr. The inscription is dated June 7, 1964 and was written to a fellow sportsman whom Farrington describes warmly as his friend, praising his abilities as a sportsman, angler, shot, and waterfowler.

The book presents Ducks Unlimited during its formative period and combines conservation history, sporting culture, wildlife photography, and Hunt’s artwork in a handsome period production.
Condition shows age-related wear consistent with an approximately 80-year-old sporting book. There is rubbing and fading to the cloth and spine lettering, scattered foxing and spotting, and some staining to preliminary pages, including the frontispiece/title-page area. No dust jacket is present. The personalized inscription remains clear and prominent.
