Description
A handsome, near-original-scale photogravure of Albrecht Durer’s 1504 masterwork Adam and Eve (The Fall of Man). Printed c.1880-1910 on smooth wove paper, this period intaglio gravure shows the classic printed rule line around the image and a visible plate impression-hallmarks of portfolio-quality photogravures from the era. The rich blacks, soft mid-tones, and faithful detail in the cat, rabbit, and tree bark make this an impressive display piece without the six-figure price of a 16th-century pull.
