Description
Authentic ancient Roman Imperial bronze coin of Emperor Constans (AD 337-350), minted at Siscia circa 347-348 AD.
The obverse features Constans with a pearl-diademed bust facing right, typical of this period, with legend segments reading “D N CONSTANS P F AVG.” The reverse shows the classic “Two Victories” type: two winged figures facing each other, holding a wreath between them-symbolizing military success and unity.
The coin’s patina is dark and stable, with identifiable design elements despite wear consistent with circulation and age. This type was issued from the Siscia mint, a key production center for the Danubian frontier during the mid-fourth century.
