The front of centerpiece depicts Jesus above the Virgin Mary with the inscription “O Maria Sine Labe Concepta Ora Pro Nobis Qui Ad Te Recurrimus,” which translates to “O Mary conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee.”
The back of centerpiece depicts the Virgin Mary with child above the Marian Cross, with the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary; marked France.
Ebony wood inlay crucifx and marked Ebony France on the back.
The beads are made of wood and have a warm brown tone, which complements the dark ebony of the crucifix; The pater “Our Father” beads are carved. (See photos)
