Description
Original French advertising postcard for La Tour d’Argent, 15 Quai de la Tournelle, Paris-featuring proprietor Frédéric Delair at the duck press. Ornate design with the 1582 crest, “Closed every Monday” note, and period ads for San Régis-Hôtel, Hôtel Roblin, and Restaurant de l’Escargot. The bottom line references the union with Café Anglais (1914). Reverse is a divided back with “CARTE POSTALE – Correspondance / Adresse” and a small Paris printer’s imprint; telephone exchange on the face reads “Gobelins 23-32.” Printed photo card (not RPPC). Approx. 3.5″ × 5.5″.
