Handsome early-1990s exhibition catalog for American potter Michael Marcus, focused on his wood-fired ceramic work with dramatic natural-ash surfaces. This copy is inscribed and dated “Aug 4 ’93” on the dedication page, which also bears the printed tribute “This catalogue is dedicated to Val Marcus…”. A scarcer bilingual English/Japanese issue that nicely documents the artist’s process and aesthetics.
