Isherwood and Bachardy both have signed this rare limited edition. 124 This first edition of October is limited to 150 numbered copies. Portraits by Bachardy of Gore Vidal, David Hockney, Joan Didion, and others are included.
The spine is tanned. The boards have some shelf wears. The inner pages are in excellent condition. The slipcase has some blemishes. The spine is tight.
The approximate dimensions of the book itself are 10x13x1″.
The typeface is 14 pt. Monotype Janson
Printed on Rives BFK Mouldmade Paper by Patrick Reagh.
The drawings are reproduced from 200-line grey screen dropout half-tones and printed by offset lithography
under the supervision of Ralph Deter and Richard Link at the Cunningham Press.
This copy is bound in full blue calf with silver blocking by Rene Patron. It is printed and bound in Los Angeles, California 1980.
