Emma Curtis Hopkins:
The New Thought movement was started by the spiritual teacher and novelist Emma Curtis Hopkins (1849-1925). She is best known for her 1888 classic Scientific Christian Mental Practice, for which she earned the moniker “The Teacher of Teachers” because so many of her pupils went on to become influential figures in their own right.
