Original 1946 Super Pak Snaps photo album containing six black-and-white snapshot photographs of the historic Italian church procession in Clerkenwell, London. The album is captioned “Italian Church Procession July 21 1946,” and the street signage visible in one photograph identifies the location near the Gunmakers Arms / Charringtons Toby Ale on Eyre Street Hill, placing the scene in London’s historic Italian community district.
This is a scarce and highly atmospheric postwar London photo album documenting the Our Lady of Mount Carmel / St Peter’s Italian Church procession, a major Catholic and Italian-British community event associated with Clerkenwell’s “Little Italy.”
