Offered here is Don’t Think About It by Carmel Myers, published by Doubleday & Company, Inc., Garden City, New York (1952), with a foreword by Lawrence S. Kubie, M.D. This is a compact mid-century reflection on emotional resilience and “brooding,” written by Myers-best known as a notable silent-era actress and later television personality.
This copy is signed, warmly inscribed, and dated by Carmel Myers: “To Sally with love Carmel” (Feb. 1955). It also retains a period New York out-of-print bookstore label from O’Malley’s Book Store, 377 Fourth Avenue, New York 16, N.Y., adding appealing provenance.
