Printed with the color G.A.R. membership badge at left and identifying McKnight as “Aide-de-Camp on Staff of Commander-in-Chief,” a national-level staff honor. Lower left reads “D. G. Farragut Post, 116.” Classic Massachusetts Civil War-veteran ephemera, likely 1880s-early 1900s, with crossover appeal to G.A.R., Civil War veteran, and Gardner local-history collectors.
