Description
Original 1939 Verve bifolio featuring four striking Herbert List portraits of Cretan shepherds. All four images are printed on the same folded leaf (two pages front, two pages back). Artist credit “HERBERT LIST” and the caption “Bergers Crétois / Cretan Shepherds, 1939” are printed in the margins, confirming source and date. Rich gravure printing on quality wove paper delivers deep blacks and beautiful tonal range-classic pre-war Verve production.
