Description
Original 1939 photogravure (heliogravure) bifolium from Verve Vol. II, Nos. 5-6 (special double number, directed by Tériade). The spread pairs Auguste Rodin after Josef Breitenbach with James McNeill Whistler after Alvin Langdon Coburn. Intact two-page sheet as issued-ink-on-paper intaglio prints, not modern reproductions. Center fold and inner (gutter) margins preserved with sewing nicks visible. Rich gravure tones with light perimeter toning and routine handling consistent with Verve.
