Description
Original 1939 Verve bifolio (complete two-page leaf) featuring the celebrated Renaissance beauty Simonetta Vespucci, after Antonio Pollaiuolo (ascribed). This is an authentic pre-war Paris Verve production printed as a rich color photogravure/plate on wove stock, not a later reprint. The bifolio format also carries two additional plates: German School, “The Horseman, His Bride and Death” on one outer page, and French School (17th c.), “Portrait of a Woman” on the reverse outer page.
