Scarce early printing of Life of Bishop Wainwright by John N. Norton, published in New York by the General Protestant Episcopal Sunday School Union and Church Book Society. Copyright 1858, this is the 1861 issue printed from the original stereotype plates, with all of the interesting prelims present.
Fronted by a steel-engraved portrait of Bishop Jonathan Mayhew Wainwright with his facsimile signature, the book tells the story of the influential Episcopal bishop of New York and his ministry in Hartford, Boston, and New York City. The volume includes:
