Description
Original 1939 color lithograph by Henri Matisse, Femme au Chapeau (Woman with Hat), printed by Mourlot Frères for Verve Vol. II, Nos. 5-6 (special double number directed by Tériade). This is an authentic period single leaf removed from the binding-issued unsigned and signed in the stone. Verso carries the original Verve chapter text, confirming context and provenance. The sheet retains a generous inner (gutter) margin, with light perimeter toning and minor handling limited to the margins; the image field is clean and the colors present strongly. Ships flat in archival materials.
